Primary Duties of the Board according to the By-Laws:

President
The President shall support the work of board members and committees to promote the objectives of the organization; shall preside at all meetings of the organization and the Board; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization. The President cannot be related by blood or marriage or reside in the same household as the other authorized signers for the organization’s financial accounts.

 

Vice President
The Vice President shall act as aide to the President and in his/her absence, shall act as President; shall act as Parliamentarian to aid and advise the President or other Chairman ProTem in conducting meetings in an orderly fashion; shall be Chairperson of the Nominations Committee; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization.

 

Secretary
The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the organization and the Board and keep at hand the minutes of past meetings; shall act as custodian of records and other materials pertinent to the history of the organization; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization.

 

Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep accurate records of the organization’s finances, shall prepare monthly bank statement reconciliations; shall provide a brief written report of financial activities to the Board monthly; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization. The Treasurer cannot be related by blood or marriage or reside in the same household as the other authorized signers for the organization’s financial accounts.

 

Community Chair
The Carlton Community Chair shall oversee the efforts of the Community Committee with the help of subcommittee chairs; shall serve as a liaison between the Carlton Avenue School community and the Board; shall provide a brief report of committee activities to the Board monthly; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization.

 

Fundraising Chair
The Fundraising Chair shall oversee the efforts of the Fundraising Committee with the help of subcommittee chairs; shall provide a brief report of committee activities to the Board monthly; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization.

 

Programs Chair
The Programs Chair shall oversee the efforts of the Programs Committee with the help of subcommittee chairs; shall provide a brief report of committee activities to the Board monthly; and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws or assigned by the organization.
